On June 27, the Supreme Court informed President Donald Trump’s decision to limit the ability of federal judges to impose a national injunction against enforcement policy, a ruling that was immediately welcomed as a victory for his administration.

Judge Amy Coney Barrett gave the court’s opinion, writing that these injunctions, known as “universal injunctions,” exceed the fair powers Congress has granted to federal courts.”
