Abiotic Factor brings together up to six players for a bizarre, whimsical adventure. It’s up to you to understand how to control chaos as it’s trapped between failed lab paranormal containment facilities, military crusades, and portals open throughout the area of alternatives. With a fun art style that returns to the original half-life look of 1998, the abiotic factors walk the line between horrible and ridiculous, earning a spot in my mind as one of the best survival games for many years.
In February, Deep Field expanded its facility again with the launch of the Dark Energy Update, with the next major overhaul, Cold Fusion-, set to mark a deviation of abiotic factors from early access. It opens the door to the residential department, dramatically increasing the gear types with the new enhancement bench, overhauls the way that is handled to make enemy attacks more enjoyable on your base, and removes plenty of quality of life improvements.
However, ahead of the abiotic factor 1.0, Deepfield is increasing its price. This is something that was always promised when we left early access. This actually came just before the update, the developer explains: “We’ve had issues changing the price of steam on the release date and we don’t want to ruin the planned sales date before and after launch.”
A $10 increase from $24.99 to $34.99 is expected to arrive on Thursday, May 1 (although there are comparable adjustments in other regions). But get it now. You can benefit from continuous steam sales to the lowest prices since launch. Also, for 1.0 land, some bonus early access cosmetics will receive a free supporter edition.
Nonbiotic factors are 20% off steam until Thursday, May 1st. This means you’ll pay just $19.99/£16.79. Once sales are over, the base price of the game will be increased to $34.99.
