Team composition is important for any hero shooter, but in a bespoke team-up for a specific character pairing, Marvel Rival It takes it to a deeper level. But it’s about to get a little shakeup. It’s not just a welcome new hero Ultron into the meta Marvel Rival Season 2.5however, six new team-ups allow you to think more about choosing the characters you want to film in combat. Plus, there is an unexpected experimental limited time mode that turns the game into AutoBattler.
The Marvel Rivals season 2.5 update is set to inject a lot of energy into free PC games. Meta is going to undergo a rather large shift, so it’s definitely time to give refresher to Marvel rival tierists. The six new team-up certainly played a role in that shift, and today Netease has revealed which heroes will be involved and how they will work.
Symbiote Shenanigans features two fan-favorite characters, Venom and Jeff the Land Shark, allowing Venom to transfer some of his symbiotics to Jeff and connect with allies to heal. Jeff will feature again in Jeff Nado’s team-up with Storm, watching the two ultimates combined into one catastrophic tornado attack. Operation Microchip is looking at Punisher Buff Black Widow’s rifle by giving it a “piercing pulse beam that properly cuts enemies.” Luna Snow and Hawkeye are combined for the Chilling Assault, giving Hawkeye an ice arrow that will damage the target further, rewarding long range accuracy. Rocket Network is watching Peni Parker and Rocket Raccoon acquire advanced gadgets that deploy Spider drones to the battlefield. And finally, Good and Evil watch Iron Man give new hero Ultron a powerful beam attack that thrusts everything on the bus, hurts enemies and heals allies.
To make way for these new team-ups, four existing teams have been removed from Marvel rivals. They are cold charismas (Jeff and Luna Snow), Allied agents (Black Widow and Hawkeye), ammunition overload (Rocket and Punisher), and Symbioté Bond (Venom and Peni Parker or Spider-Man).
Ultron’s presence will shake up the current situation of the strategist. It can provide consistent healing to allies while dealing substantial amounts of damage with energy beam attacks.
The Ultron-inspired map has also arrived in Season 2.5. Arako is said to be an island that has been “transformed” by Ultron into a “cold, merciless, mechanical world.”
Another major addition is a limited time mode called Ultron’s Battle Matrix protocol. Once the updates arrive for about a week after it drops, this is a solo competitive experience that turns Marvel rivals into team-fight tactical autobatlers. Select a lineup of six heroes and spend points on upgrading their traits and abilities. Next, place it on the grid with the selected formation. Once that planning phase is over, your hero team will match other players’ teams to fight in automated skirmishes. If you eliminate all six heroes before your opposing heroes wipe you out, you win the round.

Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 will start on Friday, May 30th, but Ultron’s Battle Matrix protocol mode will not be available until Friday, June 6th.
