FIDLab Marseille selects 11 projects including Nicolas Pereda’s ‘Everything Else Is Noise’

Nicolas Pereda Everything else is noise It is one of 11 international projects selected for FIDLAB, FIDLAB’s international co-production platform.

Currently, in post-production, Mexican director Pereda’s film unites three composers inside the apartment. There, they have conversations about gender roles, family tensions and artistry.

Everything else is noise It is produced by Catalina Pereda, a Kinga product in Mexico. It’s Nicolas Pereda’s 10^th Features; his previous films, Lazarus at nightIts world premiere at the Fidmarseille International Film Festival last year.

Two projects will be gifted by Joaquim Jorda Grant Raureates: Maria Aparicio’s’s From dawn to duskand Andres Jurado and Maria Alejandra Rojas tune.

Three ju apprentices from Austrian producer and distributor Pierre-Emmanuel Finzi, Serb programmer at Locarno Film Festival Stefan Ivancic and Spanish producer and industry director of Torinofilmlab Olimpia Pont Chafer, will award nine dependency grants to selected projects.

The 2025 edition received over 400 entries.

FIDLAB will be held on July 10th and 11th, with producers, distributors, sales agents, fund representatives and programmers taking part. Part of 36^th Fidmarseille will be held from July 8th to 13th.
