New England Patriot All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez made a four-word response to being snubled by the Top 25 under 25 list of Pro Football Focus.
Gonzalez, 22, missed a place in the PFF rankings, which included five CBS. Trent McDuffy (Kansas City Chiefs), Dereks Tinley JR (Houston Texans), Devon Witherspoon (Seattle Seahawks), Christian Benford (Buffalo Bills), and Cooper Dejan (Philadelphia Eagles).
The decision is a surprise as Gonzalez was one of the four CBSs in the NFL that won the All-Pro Selection last year, along with Denver Broncos’ McDuffy, Stingley JR and Patrick Slutein II.
When asked about the snub, Gonzalez told the Boston Herald. “Let me tell you the play. That’s all I have to say about it.”

Why was Christian Gonzalez snub off the PFF Under 25 list?
It’s hard to know – and there is probably no valid answer to that question. In the end, Gonzalez deserves to be there, and only three cornerbacks had a better season in 2024, according to All-Pro voters.
Gonzalez was featured as the No. 1 corner in defense, who played man coverage at the second-highest rating in the NFL, and was handed an assignment covering the opponent’s first option wide receiver each week.
The 17th Oregon overall pick in 2023 locked in Ja’marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Davante Adams among others throughout the season.
Gonzalez led the league at reception and caught Chase three for 15 yards in week one, receiving yards and touchdowns.
Hill suffered a similar fate, scoring one catch and 10 yards when he faced Gonzalez in week 12, but Harrison JR also had only one catch for 23 yards.
For each focus in pro football, Gonzalez allowed 46 receptions with 84 targets for 499 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.
The youngster was the Patriots’ top player last season, with a rating of 76.0, and he partnered with star quarterback Drake May to prove his value as the franchise’s cornerstone.

The Patriots’ victory total in 2025 is set at 8.5 over/under 8.5 as they expect dramatic improvements from last season’s disastrous 4-13 record.
Jerod Mayonnaise was fired just a year later as head coach and Kraft quickly moved and appointed Mike Vrabel in his place.
Vrabel is familiar with Massachusetts culture, where he spent seven years in New England as a player from 2001 to 2008 and earned the first team All-Pro honor in 2007.
During his tenure in Tennessee, Vrabel led Titan to his first AFC Championship appearance in 17 seasons before being eventually eliminated by Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
This should help patriots a wealth of accompanies as the Titans won AFC South in 2020 under Vrabel’s Guide for the first time since 2008.
Tennessee secured the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC after the season with a 12-5 record, and Vrabel was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2021.
