Regarding open world RPGs, Elden Ring It’s not a rule, it’s an exception. Opus from fromsoftware came after learning from Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro for over a decade. For me, this is exactly why the game works. Now, more than three years after its launch, the new report shows how long we have spent on the land in the intervening period. With Elden Ring Nightreign rounding the corner, it doesn’t sound like the original game goes anywhere.

The Elden Ring Nightrign release date will not come soon. fromsoftware is completely focused on multiplayer spins in Gargantuan Open-World games and looks really spectacular. Past bosses like the studio’s souls are back, with each run having a three-day cycle. However, a new report from Alinea Analytics shows how much we’ve all played over the last few years, so we shouldn’t count the original Elden Ring Out.

According to Alinea data, over 45% of Steam’s Elden Ring players have played the game for over 100 hours. Valve’s StoreFront accounts for around 15.7 million players in the game, making it the game’s biggest platform ahead of Xbox and PlayStation. As for the shadow of the Erdtree expansion, Alinea adds that it sells 2.4 million copies on Steam alone.

Also, these players are very dedicated to Eldenling. Arinea provides more data (via Resetera) about how many games have completed. 10.2% of Steam’s player-based player-based results have all the results, while 10.9% do the same on PlayStation. However, this is not over with almost 700,000 players on PlayStation and Steam playing the game for over 500 hours. That number will embarrass many live service games.

Arinea also compares the player retention of Eldenling with both Gate 3 and Diablo 4 of Valdur, delivering amazing results. The D4 has the highest player share in brackets from 10 to 50 hours, but Eldenling leads elsewhere. Of the three games, Eldenling leads the 100-500 hour bracket of perhaps 42.6% of players due to the range of things to do in the game.

With FromSoftware removing new DLC for the game, we feel that more is coming back to Elden Ring soon. It’s not as big as Eldry’s shadow, but there are more classes for torrents, armor, weapons, combat techniques and cosmetics.
