DHS Releases List of ‘Sanctuary’ Jurisdictions That Could Lose Federal Funding

There are over a dozen states and numerous cities and counties listed, all at risk of losing federal dollars, including grants and contracts.

On May 29, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a list of so-called sanctuary jurisdictions across the country that can disqualify federal funds under an executive order by President Donald Trump.

The DHS list includes counties and cities in the 35 states and the District of Columbia, with policies considered to be obstructing federal immigration enforcement.
