Then, on October 13th, the couple appeared together in their first official reveal at the Buffalo Sabres vs. New York Rangers hockey game at Key Bank Center in Buffalo, New York. Steinfeld and Allen were watching the opening game of the private suite season.

At the 2024 Golden Globes, reporters asked Steinfeld how she felt about the night while lifting her No. 14 Bills jersey. On October 12th, the couple was spotted at the first annual Shakir Family Pet Adoption Event held in Buffalo, New York. In footage shared on social media, Steinfeld took a photo of Allen, who has one of the dogs that can be used for adoption.
On October 18, Steinfeld shared the story of issue 11 of her “Beau Society” newsletter about how she and Allen slightly avoided bad luck after she and Allen accidentally bought the same Christmas present: Miyabi Kaizen Chef’s Knife.
“After we exchanged the knife’s lol he told me there was an old Wive story that when you give it to another knife that has to pay for your important other knife, it means cutting off the relationship,” she wrote in her newsletter.
