Ugo Bienvenu’s Annecy winner ‘Arco’ secures UK-Ireland distribution

Exclusive: Picturehouse Entertainment has acquired British and Ireland distribution in French animation, which won the Annecy Award for Ugo Biennu Alco From Goodfellas.

The 2D computer animation premiered as a special screening at Cannes in May before winning the Top Awards at Annessy last week.

Set in 2075, Alco It follows a 10-year-old girl called Iris who witnesses a mysterious boy wearing a rainbow suit. He comes from an idyllic distant future where time travel is possible, and Iris must help him return to his time.

Natalie Portman is one of the English voice actors and also has producer credits.
