A coalition of 21 attorney generals from more than 20 states and the District of Columbia have filed lawsuits against the Trump administration over provisions used to justify billions of dollars in critical federal funds.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts District Court by the attorney general of states, including Arizona, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan and New York, cites a clause that says grants and budgets can be terminated if “the program’s goals or institutional priorities are no longer effective.”
