It’s been over a year since I was very excited Tsushima’s Ghost I went to PC and can confirm that it’s worth playing. With a meta-crytic score of 83, this highly rated game is a slash hit! Tsushima’s Ghost, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, may look just another “open world”, but like onion, there are many layers to the game. If you’re not spinning to play it, Humble Bundle is currently offering a fun 33% discount.

Tsushima’s Ghost is an action-adventure game epic that was against the backdrop of the brutal Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. You will play Jinsakai. You, Jin, survive this attack, but your uncle, Shimamura Lord, is captured. Channel your inner rogue (cues Rocky-style montages), and Jin becomes a legend known as Tsushima’s “ghosts” and takes an unconventional way of clashing with his circle of honor. Not only will you fight enemies in Samurai Grace, you will also be involved in stealth and deception.

At its heart, this is a story of honor vs. revenge, tradition vs. new stories, and personal costs that will make the world fearsome in order to save what you love. That’s also quite attractive. Tsushima’s Ghost is not an RPG game of unparalleled complexity. No, its charm lies elsewhere. It is pensive, reflective, and offers a heavy atmosphere where every blade stroke and moral choice shape your legendary story.

In a review of Tsushima’s ghosts, Ian Boudreau says, “The battle is (a) a highlight.” He continues, “I still feel the fight is incredibly dynamic and deadly.” And, well, when you travel across the map, you will encounter many clashing swords. It feels almost therapeutic to cut open my enemies and see their blood splattering into the air like thousands of dancing rubies. Certainly, one of my favorites about this game is killing two people at once in Ghost Stance. But don’t be fooled, this game doesn’t include Gore for it. (I’m looking at you, Manhunt) You still need to think about strategy.
