WASHINGTON – The House Rules Committee on July 2 has advanced a version passed through the Senate of one big beautiful bill law, reaching President Donald Trump’s desk and taking a step closer to delivering the legislative agenda of his signature.

The tally was 7-6. Ralph Norman (Rs.C.) and Chip Roy (R-Texas) joined all Democrats in a vote against the committee’s report. Progress in the House comes hours after the Senate voted Vice President JD Vance to pass the bill slightly.
