Paolo Sorrentino’s ‘La Grazia’ to open 2025 Venice Film Festival

Paolo Sorrentino’s world premiere Blessing Starring Toni Servillo and Anna Ferzetti, the 2025 edition of Venice Film Festival will be opening.

The film will be screened on Wednesday, August 27th at Saragrande at the Palazzo del Cinema (Lido di Venezia). The festival will be held until September 6th.

Blessing Written and directed by Paolo Sorrentino and produced by Fremantle’s apartments, Numero 10 and Piperfilm, to distribute films in Italy.

Mbi owns global rights except Italy, and Match Factory handles international sales.

Sorrentino was last in Venice four years ago. God’s hand, It won the Silver Lion Grand Jue Award. Blessing This is his seventh collaboration with Selville.

Venice director Alberto Barbera said, “Paolo Sorrentino’s return to competition lies in a film aimed at leaving that mark for its incredible originality and its strong connections.”
