69th The BFI London Film Festival (LFF) will open along with Lean Johnson’s international premiere The man who woke up and died: sings a mystery Wednesday, October 8th.
The Netflix title will be performed as an opening night gala at London’s Royal Festival Hall at South Bank Centre and at Partner Cinemas around the UK.
“The film has British and international talent, bringing play and courage to the screen, creating films that keep viewers speculating in the final frame, and giving them courage to the screen,” LFF director Christy Matheson said.
Awaken the dead man We watch Daniel Craig detective Benoit Blanc unravel his latest murder mystery in an environment that is not yet conditioned. The location of the film’s world premiere has not yet been announced.
The cast also includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mira Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kelly Washington, Andrew Scott, Kayley Spanee, Daryl McCormack and Thomas Hayden Church.

Awaken the dead man This is the third Netflix film that opens LFF So much so they fall (2021) and Matilda: Musical (2022).
Also, the three thirds Knife out Films performing festivals Knife out 2019 and Festival Closer Glass onion 2022. This was one of three Netflix titles that have shut down the festival so far.
Awaken the dead man Netflix will start streaming on Netflix. Although Netflix has yet to confirm the theatrical release of the title, Johnson has expressed his desire to perform in as many theaters as possible.
The full LFF programme will be announced on Wednesday, September 3rd, with tickets on sale starting September 16th.
LFF 2025 will run from October 8th to 19th.
