Galway prize winner ‘Gerry Adams – A Ballymurphy Man’ picked up for UK-Ireland

Exclusive: Trisha Ziff’s Jerry Adams – The Man of Barimulphie UK-Checked for the Irish release by Dublin-based distributor Wildcard.

This feature document won the Best International Documentary Award for Galway film Fleadh, and Adams attended Fried, who approached yesterday (July 13th). Wildcard has acquired the film at Fried’s Marketplace, the Galway Filmfare.

The film is planned for release later this year.

Adams was Sinnfein’s president from 1983 to 2018, and was an important voice in his decision to abandon his arm after signing the Irish Peace Agreement, the Irish Peace Agreement, in 1998, after 25 years of conflict in Northern Ireland.

The producers are the late Irish filmmaker, cinematographer and photographer Los McDonnell and Ziff of 212 Berlin based in Los Angeles and Mexico City. The Wildcard negotiated a deal with 212 Berlin.

Also included in WildCard slate Saipan Co-producer Stephen Coogan will be released in Ireland along with Veritgo in September, and will be appearing in Lanced’s tradwinner of the Audience Award for the Galway film Fleadh.
