WASHINGTON – The Chinese Communist Party is promoting US courts to censor critics and promote their own interests at the expense of the US, experts told a Congressional panel on July 22.

Regime schemes, also known as legal war or law, involve using third parties to file lawsuits against the regime’s targets and incurring heavy legal costs; Panel members said they are betting US laws to protect bad Chinese actors from the outcome.
