WASHINGTON – The US Treasury Department has announced new sanctions on Iran-related individuals, groups and vessels with more than 115 people.

Sanctions are widely targeting the shipping rights of Ali Shamhani’s son, Mohammad Hossain Shamhani. The US Treasury Department said it was the most important Iran-related sanctions since 2018 during President Donald Trump’s first administration.
