Spurred by the remastered Oblivion, I recently returned to Skyrim, and thanks to Bethesda’s best thanks to its incredible world and the sense of adventure you’ll see as you explore its dungeons. However, I feel that modern standard gameplay is wisely outdated. There’s very little chance you’ll see the Elder Scroll 6 until at least next year. barrel Its brutal first person action RPG styling, which catches my eye, may just fill that skilim-shaped gap with my steam library.
Revealed in the THQ Nordic Showcase, Fatekeeper makes an incredible first impression. The environment was absolutely breathtaking, and first-person combat quickly reminded me of a game like Skyrim, but its impact, cruelty and intensity rose to another level. Writing a wide range of swords, shafts, toxins and spells takes on everything from giant, horned demons to supple, muscular, and scaly beasts. Combine it with some impressive dungeon crawls and get one of the best fantasy games this year.
Teasing from the developer’s Paragrassial “Adventure into a Handmade World that ruins the Whispers of Past Critical Crisis.” “Master the art of swords and magic and make your path with relics, spells and choices that shape who you will become in this first-person RPG.” Your journey through Fatekeeper follows a focused major story, which explains, but the world invites you to explore. The trailer offers a glimpse of vast forests, treasure-studded catacombs and vast underground temples.
The battle appears to focus primarily on one-on-one encounters, but the enemies are a little more involved than your average draug. You need to carefully look at your attack patterns, look for weaknesses in your opponent’s guard or armor, and attack accurately. You can get clues from the Witcher and pour paralytic poison into the blade to prevent the enemy’s mobility. Alternatively, take a leaf out of Star Wars, unleash the Force, use magic to lift your rival into the air, and throw it physically into the canyon.
So far, the clean world and the vicious battle have already taken me on board. However, Paragrasia promises “a wealth of progression dynamics that exceed surface-level statistics.” It means considerations as to whether you prefer brute strength, agility, finesse, or unning spell craft. Amplifying it even further is a lot of booty. Discover weapons, armor, and artifacts to enhance your preferred playstyle and look good while doing it.
With Paraglacial’s plan to launch FateKeeper with early access via Steam this winter, expect it in the second half of 2025 or early 2026. If you’re as curious as me, you can now wishlist it with steam.
Whenever the release date for Elder Scrolls 6 ends, we make sure we know it as soon as we do. In the meantime, it’s probably time to finally think about upgrading to the best gaming PC for your budget in 2025 and making your gaming shine to its fullest.
