Trump systematically targeted the once-matched bloc, citing Russian oil procurement as a main reason. India and Brazil are buying Russian oil at a discounted price for sanctions. This article highlights the tariffs Trump has imposed in the ongoing BRICS-US trade war.

- Brazil
Brics vs Us began on the day of release and has been intensifying ever since. Brazil is one of the countries with the highest tariffs, with a 50% obligation being charged for the transfer of goods. Rather than talking to Trump, President Lula da Silva said he would discuss with other BRICS countries and provide a joint statement on US policy.
- Russia
Russia is one of the only countries exempt from tariffs, and the White House justified the move by citing that sanctions already existed. The country is also upset under severe sanctions and has struggled to sell its products in international markets. This made Russia a de-co-agent agenda for settlers and a brick for the US and US.
- India
Trump previously welcomed India “Best Friend” However, it imposed a 50% tariff. The president is unhappy with India raising crude oil at discounted rates. Trump wants to close the gap in the Russian economy, leading other countries to their mission. India was also the only country to support US policies, giving BRICS a cold shoulder.
- China
China was one of the first countries to be hit by tariffs and began on the day of liberation. Xi Jinping’s administration has even peaked at 145%, imposing retaliatory tariffs. Since then, tariffs on China have fallen to 30%. Additionally, China united the BRICS Alliance Band against the US by allowing free access to the market.
- South Africa
South Africa suffered 30% tariffs, and Trump accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of discriminating against white minorities. The US also welcomed white African refugees who claimed to be fleeing “White Genocide.”
