IFTA (Independent Film & Television Alliance) said Thursday that 160 production and distributors are participating in Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, along with international organizations from more than 60 countries.
According to the IFTA, “early momentum shows a new sense of optimism and involvement across the independent film and television industry.”
Exhibitors for the 46th edition include WME Independence, Aging, Upgrade, Highland Film Group, Architects, Beta Cinema, Cornerstone Film, Arcing Film, Film Mode, Neon, Match Factory, Garmont, Hanway Film, Hanway Film, Hanway Film, Pache Film, Protagonist Photography, Trust Nordisk, Voltage Pictures, Xyzz Film, Xzyzm
The national sales and production companies represent countries such as China, France, Germany, Italy, and Thailand.
AFM screenings will take place at AMC Century City 15, Westfield Century City Shopping Centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Fairmont Century Plaza.
AFM’s LocationExpo expands to reflect increased demand from film committees, production services companies and participants. The 4-day AFM Sessions Conference series is back. The speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The independent sector sighed at Ahrelief when IFTA announced that the market would return to Los Angeles after a difficult few years. The AFM moved to Las Vegas in 2024 after years of complaints about costs and logistics in Santa Monica, but the event in Nevada was unpopular.
