The deal that allows NVIDIA and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to sell to China will require other companies to extend the reduction of certain advanced chips specifically designed to comply with restrictions on communist states to the US government, the White House said Tuesday.

Under a transaction confirmed by President Donald Trump on Monday, NVIDIA and AMD agreed to pay the government 15% of its revenue from China H20 chip sales in exchange for US export licenses.
