US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Alaska on August 15th to discuss the end of the Russian-Ukraine conflict, with lawmakers’ reactions falling primarily in line with party lines.

The summit ended without a firm commitment to end the conflict, and Trump commented at a joint press conference, “There will be no deals until there is a deal.”
