Volker Bertelmann won the Film Composer of the Year award at the 25th World Soundtrack Awards (WSA), held tonight (October 15th) on the final night of Filmfest Ghent in Belgium.

Bertelmann, who also won this award in 2023, conclave and amateur.
Daniel Blumberg, who was also nominated as Composer of the Year, brutalistwon multiple other awards including the Oscar for Best Original Score.
Theodore Shapiro won the Television Composer of the Year Award for his music for the second season. retirement allowance. Emmy Award winner Shapiro is also known for composing the music for: The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder and bomb.
Best original song was chosen as “El Mal” Emilia Perezwritten by Clément Ducol, Camille and Jacques Audiard, and performed by Zoe Saldaña and Carla Sofia Gascón. The song previously won a comparable award at the Oscars.
The WSA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Philip Glass and Michael Nyman.
