Exclusive: Paris-based Playtime has joined forces with three new titles, including The Age of Jerome Bonnell drama of placement, Film adaptation of Léa Domenac’s graphic novel man’s skin And Sarah Arnold’s debut feature There are too many beasts.
International sales will begin at Paris Rendez-Vous next week.

Nicolas Brigeau-Robert, co-CEO of Playtime, described the film as “a remarkable story of female solidarity in a patriarchal world…The film takes an unexpected turn and Jérôme Bohnell makes his characters interesting.”
Diafana producer Michel Saint-Jean said he believed the film “has strong mainstream appeal, dealing with themes of secrecy, power, and social violence, while at the same time being clearly a director-driven film that I believe will have strong critical reception internationally.”
Deneuve
Domenach’s man’s skin (men’s skin) reteam Director who co-starred with Catherine Deneuve after Bernadette Chirac’s comedy president’s wife. The film is based on the best-selling graphic novel of the same name by Hubert and Zanzim.
Set in the late 15th century, man’s skin Princess Blanche is devastated when her father chooses to marry her off to a rough-and-tumble military commander she barely knows. Her godmother gives her a mysterious “skin” that allows her to become a man and meet her fiancé incognito.
Produced by Carre Productions and Tresor Films, it will be released in France by Diafana. Claire Pome, Stéphane Crepon and Karin Viard star in the ensemble cast with Deneuve.
Playtime’s third new title for Rendez Vous is too many beasts (explosive seeds), starring Alexis Manenti, Ella Lumpe, and Vincent Desdienne. The film is set in rural France, where a murder occurs in the midst of a war between farmers and members of a gentlemen’s hunting club sparked by a wild boar destroying local crops. A year later, the police officer leading the investigation is driven to the brink of insanity.
Director Arnold has made several eye-catching short films in the past, including: as parade, It premiered in competition in Locarno and Clermont-Ferrand.
