European leaders are increasingly concerned about the risk of an impending trade war and the future of Greenland. Trump briefed reporters ahead of his arrival in Davos, claiming he has done more for NATO than any other leader. Many expect him to reconsider his stance on Greenland and tariffs. If you would like to know more about this, please visit the World Economic Forum and contact EU Editor Maria Tadeo.
The diplomatic crisis between the EU and the US is also being felt inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where lawmakers are meeting this week. The vote on a draft resolution on EU-US relations was postponed to reflect the latest developments. To find out more about this, Euronews correspondent Vincenzo Genovese will be on the ground. And with him, Valérie Hayer, President of Renew Europe, joined us for an interview.
I will then return to Davos with EU Editor Maria Taddeo. Joining her in the live interview is Nadia Calviño, President of the European Investment Bank.
Finally, I would like to report on an issue that has not received much attention at this year’s World Economic Forum: the continuing suffering in Gaza. President Donald Trump still wants to advance what he calls his 20-point peace plan with the support of international partners, including European countries. Our correspondent Jakub Janas explains the next developments in this plan.
