The Miami Heat confirmed that Jimmy Butler will be suspended in two games after missing a team flight to Milwaukee.

Jimmy Butler stopped after Miami Heat lost team flight

Once again, Butler was handed over a second suspension this month, forcing the Miami Heat to punish the controversial NBA star.

Butler reportedly intended to meet the team himself, but the fever had already suspended him.

The Miami Heat hung Butler in the early stages of 2025, but the Americans lost seven games, not a surprise due to rumors of ongoing trade.

Shams Charania commented on the suspension and confirmed that Butler actually wanted a deal from Miami.

He said: “Jimmy Butler missed a team flight from Miami to Milwaukee tonight. Tomorrow night we had a two-game road trip against the Milwaukee Bucks and a two-game road trip against Brooklynnet over the weekend.

“So Jimmy Butler missed that flight and was planning on joining the team tonight, but Miami sent him home and instead of allowing him to keep him.

“We know he wants a deal from Miami. Heat is engaged in conversations to get him moving, which has become an unacceptable situation.

“The words of some of their coaches and players are distracted, confused, and unclear in the heat organization. He’s gathered together to play games for work, but there’s a sense of uncertainty around Jimmy Butler in Miami.”

The situation between Butler and the Miami Heat has reached a boiling point, with fans questioning the reasons behind keeping players in place.

So far, Butler has averaged 17 points, 4.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds. This highlights the player’s choice to not completely commit to heat.
