WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump hosted the 2024 World Series winner at the White House on April 7th.

The Dodgers won their eighth World Series title by beating the New York Yankees in five games in the fall classic last October.

Trump said the Dodgers suffered injuries heading into the playoffs but were able to endure.

“The Dodgers faced adversity all year round. You were battered and hurt in the playoffs, but not broken,” the president said.

During the ceremony, Trump cried out at the Dodgers star. This is a member of Congress, including Shoe Hei, Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts.

Trump praised Otani for his “incredible” MVP season consisting of 54 home runs, 50 stolen bass and 130 RBIs.

Otani signed a record 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers last year, with most of the money being postponed.

The president recalled his relationship with George Steinbrenner, the late Yankees owner. He said he was a “great friend.”

“The Yankees are a great team and they’re always a great franchise,” he said.

Trump also admitted that California Democrat Sens. Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla were among the audience but didn’t name them.

Kershaw praised the team last season and the meaning of the team to him.

“The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers season is something that falls in history books. I’ve always held a special place to be there with me, me and millions of Dodger fans,” he said.
