Paul George picked up yet another injury Wednesday night in Philadelphia, but his knee wasn’t as bad as first suspected, and the nine-time All-Star could soon return to action next week.

Paul George’s injury timeline

When the Sixers acquired Paul George from Los Angeles in the summer, they knew they were signing a player with one of the worst injuries records in the NBA.

George was ruled out for the first few weeks of the season after stretching his knees before the season, but he finally got to play in November during a difficult time for Philadelphia.

After just eight games, George is back on the bench, but the future Hall of Fame is once again struggling with knee injuries. George was kicked out of court this week after being defeated by the Grizzlies, and the 34-year-old received an MRI shortly after the match.

“It was an overextension,” Sixth Coach Nick Nurse told reporters. “It’s similar to preseason and the same knees, and I think we’ll probably learn a little more (Thursday) a little more (Thursday).

“They actually worked there. You don’t know what’s going to happen. He was actually pretty close to coming back to the game, but then he came out a little more, which was a bit stiff.

The first report on George’s knee is good. This time, the Six believes that the latest stars will only take action in just two or three games at best.

Philadelphia is one of the biggest surprises in the league this year, and the injury to the star player is a big reason why the team sits 2-8 after the first 10 games of the season.

Six has yet to make the most of the latest Super Start Rio from Paul George, Joel Embiid and Tyrees Maxie.

Both Maxey and Embiid are slowly returning to action after their respective injuries, so it’s only a matter of time before fans are treated to all three stars in the court at once.
