Tuesday’s loss was Boston’s fourth loss of the season so far, and also scored the mark in his third game of the year.
To make things worse for the Bruins, the Predators still didn’t win the game this season until they shut out 4-0 in Boston this week.
The Bruins once again struggled with the attack, generating just eight attempts on goals against predators, showing continued problems with scoring.
Another area where Boston struggled was a penalty. This is what Coach Jim Montgomery hopes to crack down on moving forward. “It’s discipline,” Montgomery said.
“We’re taking too many stick penalties. We want to prevent scoring opportunities and get good penalties. Usually you’re going to kill them. There’s too many in the attack zone and you have to cut it down.

“After already trying to kill three people with the first three, we had to kill a four-minute penalty, and we only killed one,” he said. “Certain players are taxing, certain players are playing too many minutes, others are sitting on the bench for too long.”
