Almost all role-based multiplayer games seem to be heated with discussions, complaints and controversy over the role of support. It’s selfless and strategic, difficult to fill, and is a role that can be overwhelmed by a massive amount of overpowering, or left in the cold when it comes to new additions. Recently, it’s Marvel Rival All the noisy support players are very frustrated about the state of the strategist hero, so boycotting the support role is pedaled online. Now, in a new blog post addressing some of the issues with Marvel rivals, Netease says that some Strategist Buffs will arrive in future updates.
Support players have been quite vocal about the state of the Strategist Hero in Marvel Rival Season 2, claiming that it is more difficult than ever to play a supporting role in multiplayer games. Netease acknowledges this and promises soon “will strengthen the damage capabilities of certain strategists, increase threat levels and improve the team’s potential.”
Looking at all the roles more broadly, it also teases some balance changes that we intend to make in the next Marvel rival update. Vanguard heroes Groot and Captain America are hit by a “slightly reduced chance of survival.” Spider-Man receives a reduction in damage range from his amazing combo.
It doesn’t sound like there’s a wave of tide before Season 2’s update hits a few weeks later. Netease says that “be careful, minimize changes and improve the experience of a particular hero without significantly changing the entire meta.”
In this new blog post, Netease also admits another complaint from the strategist player. There is a difference in the amount of performance points obtained in ranked matches. “A few duels have noticed a slight advantage in their performance ratings in Season 2.0 compared to the previous season, but some pioneers and strategists face a slight disadvantage,” the developer says. “However, most heroes are in balance. Future patches will optimize performance rating calculations based on the latest data to ensure fairness for all heroes.”
Currently, there is no release date set for the next update for Marvel Rivals, but we will stick to it and support players – changes are in progress.
