Exclusive: Montreal-based H264 has won global sales and Canadian distribution rights to Jonah Malak’s documentary and upcoming Hot Docs World Premiere Don’t spare your bones, coyote!
The film follows Aguilas del Decierto and volunteers from founders Maricera and Ely Ortiz. They have devoted their lives to finding and returning the bodies of migrants who died in the desert, crossing on foot from Mexico to the United States. Produced by Dominique Dussault, CEO of Nemesis Films.
Aguilas del Desierto was founded in 2012 and to date rescued about 92 people and recovered the bodies of 92 people.
Don’t spare your bones, coyote! It premiered at the Toronto Festival on April 27th and will be shown again two days later before it plays at Doxa in Vancouver.

H264 Co-President Jean-Christophe J. Lamontagne and Stephanie Demers collaborated with Malak in the 2020 sports documentary Dave won’t come back Partnering with Nemesis Films in 2023 Red room. It’s an honor to bring such a timely, important film to the audience.”
