On January 5th, George Kittle told ESPN, “My goal is to wear red and gold for my entire career.” Kittle is one step closer to making it happen after signing the latest extension with the Niners. The 31-year-old man Bushin with boy A podcast he signed on to a new extension. He has a four-year contract, $76.4 million, and is guaranteed $40 million at the time of signing.
The 2024 season was his sixth time he was selected as a Pro Bowler in the past seven years. Kittle finished with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns. It was the fourth time in his career that he finished with over 1,000 receiving yards. Another goal George Kittle has is to be in the 49ers 10-year club. There are 51 players who have played 10 consecutive seasons in San Francisco since the team began in 1946.
Joe Staley was the last niner to achieve that in 2017. Kittle will need to play two more seasons to make that happen. He is one of four TEs in NFL history and has won four seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. Two first team All-Pro was a reliable player in his eight-year career in San Francisco. After being selected in the fourth round, Kittle is on the right path to having a career worthy of the Hall of Fame.
