Yemeni Iran-backed rebels announced the imposing a comprehensive air lockdown on Israel on Sunday evening. This is explained in response to the Israeli government’s decision to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement broadcast by the media outlet, Yahya Saree, spokesman for Houthi, called on international airlines to give serious warnings to keep travelers safe, saying the decision was soon enacted.

“We will impose siege by repeatedly targeting Israeli airports, particularly LOD (Ben Gurion) International Airport near Tel Aviv.”

“We will not accept the continuation of the lawlessness that Israel is trying to impose primarily on Lebanon and Syria on Arab countries,” the statement added.

The announcement follows the group’s missile launch at Israel’s major international airports, and the impact near its access road caused panic among passengers.

The attack on Ben Gurion International Airport was scheduled to vote on whether Israeli ministers would strengthen military operations in Gaza. Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the Army had called for reserves in tens of thousands.

Israeli forces said it was the first time missiles have hit airport grounds since the war began in Gaza. The military said the initial findings showed that a possible cause was a technical issue with the interceptor.

Israeli paramedic Magen David Adom said four people had minor injuries.

Multiple international airlines have cancelled or postponed flights that have been cancelled or postponed. The war with Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in Lebanon, led to a wave of airlines halting flights to Israel. Many have resumed in recent months.

Israel vowed to respond to Hooty’s attacks at the “Sevenfold.”

Houthi rebels have fired in Israel since the start of the war with Gaza on October 7, 2023. While most missiles are intercepted, some have invaded Israeli missile defense systems and caused damage.

Israel fought back against Yemeni rebels.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the US supports Israel’s operation against the Houtis.

“It’s not a bang, a bang, we’re done, but we’ll have bangs,” he said. In a later statement, he added that Israel would respond to the Houtis “and to their Iranian terrorist masters, where we have chosen.”
