The Baltimore Ravens released Justin Tucker 13 years later. One of the league’s best kickers is currently under investigation for inappropriate behaviour.
Justin Tucker released by the Ravens
There is no doubt that the current Justin Tucker scandal is one of the biggest scandals revealed in the NFL.
The charges against Kicker are generally well known, despite Baltimore officially reporting that Tucker was released as part of a “soccer decision.”
The 13-year veteran is accused of inappropriate conduct during a massage therapy session that has made serious claims with multiple Baltimore area masseuses.
With 16 therapists accusing Tucker of inappropriate behavior between 2012 and 2016, the Ravens apparently had no choice but to drop the kicker.
“Deciding on football can be very difficult, and this is one example of that. Given the current roster, we made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement.

“We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We hope he and his family will be the best in this next chapter of their lives.”
Tucker has played with the Ravens all 13 years in the NFL, holding the longest field goal record in league history with 66 yards. The scandal is still very unresolved, so it’s not clear whether Tucker will return to the football field.
The Ravens sign the rookie kicker
With Tucker definitely out of the upcoming photo, the Ravens had to move quickly to get the kicker as they are only two months away from the preseason.
Baltimore drafted top prospect Tyler Loop, so there are already stars in line to replace Tucker in the 2025 season.

Loop was selected as No. 186 overall from Arizona, and after spending four years in college he became one of the most popular kickers in this year’s draft.
The 24-year-old became the first kicker to be drafted in the history of the Ravens franchise, showing just how hopeless Baltimore was to find a replacement for Tucker in the current investigation.
Loop finishes his college career with 83.3% accuracy on 80 attempts, holding the longest completion record for 62 yards in Arizona.
