It’s not so common that a DLC launch is as disappointing and fulfilled as the one surrounded by it Rain risk 2Storm seeker. Since its release, the DLC has been in the black mark of the logrique. This was generally held alongside favourites of genres such as Vampire Survivors, Darkest Dungeon 2, or Hades 2.
After the Roguelike game was acquired by Borderlands Creator Gearbox, Seekers of the Storm became a Rain 2 risk. That disastrous launch was plagued by technical and design issues, and while DLC still held the highest user rating of “almost negative” history on Steam, it seemed like a bad sign at the time. But fortunately, the studio continues to update Seekers of Storm until the latest patch on DLC was called “2.0 Renewal.”
The huge new update is focused on the game’s “Survivor” characters after past patches deal with items and enemies. Each of the survivors has been redesigned, new skills added, and base loadouts have been re-adjusted for Seeker, Fake Son and Chef. The hope is that this task will make all of these characters more viable, while also providing a new way to build individual survivors.
In a steam post detailing the update, Gearbox adds that it will continue to improve the risks of DLC and Rain 2 beyond this renewal. The studio explains that it is “working on optimizing system memory updates for the game,” but it may also share plans for the near future.
