Early access on Steam is tough The Road of Asylum 2 so far. While the sequel to Grinding Gear Games has proven to be extremely popular, many changes to the studio are also controversial. POE 2’s Endgame is under constant surveillance as it evolves along with the rest of the ARPG. Currently with the updated 0.2.0H, GGG introduces game-changing improvements and should be here soon.
In the new developer blog, Granding Gear Games provides an overview of all the major endgames and quality of life changes planned for Path 2 in Asylum 2 in Patch 0.2.0h. This is one of the biggest updates ever, with the studio focusing on endgame for Poe 2. GGG has already mentioned some of these improvements recently, but now they’re giving details.
First of all, Gear Game Smash unfolds improvements to previously taunted action RPG violations. So far, violations have had the problem of too many monsters appearing in small spaces, but it is about to change. With the latest updates, Granding Gear games are changing the way monsters are born in violations, making them more reliable and giving you a minimal encounter experience. Assuming that monsters are not killed, the minimum time for violations has also increased to 20 seconds, but killing magic or rare enemies means that time is longer than eliminating normal enemies.
“We previously talked about dropping a lot of stacks of debris, but instead we’ve made more dramatic improvements,” GGG wrote. “We now vacuum all the breach pieces that were dropped during the encounter of violations and drop them in your place when the violation is finished. If you’re at the party, it drops multiple stacks randomly allocated.”
Grinding Gear Games is adding a ritual stash tab to Poe 2. This can be used to save foreheads and audiences in King Fragments. The Socketable Stash tab also retains runes, talismans and soul cores, and comes with buttons that allow you to upgrade your runes without the need for a renovation bench. These will be found in the microtransaction store when patch 0.2.0H is released.
When it comes to loot drops, GGG admits there are still “outliers” that need improvement. “At 0.2.0H, you’ll make perfect jeweler orbs and level 20 uncut skills and spirit gems much more common,” says the studio. “These are still relatively rare, but in many cases it was about getting very far into their final game and character progression before people find it.”
Grinding Gear Games also outlines future changes to shrines that have been planned. Both greedy and corrupt shrines are completely invalidated. The team said they were “just bad” and rarely added profits. GGG also became very frequent in rare shrines such as diamonds and divines. This means you can earn rewards at a faster rate. GGG adds that it has increased the duration of “almost all shrines” and has given it up to 90 seconds to use some of the upcoming ones.
GGG is aiming similarly, so if you have a big problem finding rogue asylum, don’t worry. Their aggro range has been reduced, so they are on screen before the health bar appears. So you don’t have to wonder who that special life bar belongs to. The Rogue exiles also have a much brighter light to them, alongside the minimap icons in battle.
To round out the 0.2.0H improvement, GGG is making several changes to Azmeria Wisps to improve behavior when two active at a time. Spring spirit and fox spirits are also unusual, so shattering the gear game has become triple-more common, encouraging “busy and rewarding results.”
Grinding Gear Game hopes to be able to deploy an asylum pass 2 0.2.0H pass by the end of the week. This means you must have it by Friday, May 16th.
