This is the largest purchase in Boeing Company’s history.

Qatar Airways signed a contract on May 14 to buy 160 jets from Boeing, the largest commercial jet maker in the United States.

The deal follows President Donald Trump’s trip to Qatar on Wednesday, accompanied by Boeing CEO Kelly Autoberg and Qatar Emil Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the signing ceremony.

“Take those planes out there,” Trump said after Autoberg signed the contract.

The President also attended to sign a defense agreement and an unspecified joint declaration with Tamim.

“After signing these documents, I think we’ll go to another level of relationship between Qatar and the US,” the Qatar leader said. “So, President, I just wanted to thank you for this historic visit.”
