Keir Starmer ir made consecutive full throttles in Parliament today on comments by British leader Nigel Farage, who Jaguar Land Rover declared “bust worthy.”
In the PMQ high octane session, the Labor Prime Minister did not underestimate as he tore Farage and critics of his government.
Priorities, standing tall in the dispatch box, said they knew “first-hand” what trade deals meant for workers, families and the entire community of the iconic British automaker.
But then a shrieking handbrake turn came. He then turned his anger straight at conservative leader Kemi Badenok and accused him of threatening to tear it apart regarding the UK’s struggled international deal.
However, it was Farage who was in the full brunt of Starme’s rage.
“Reform leader… what did he say about JLR? He said JLR deserves to go to the bust! I’m embarrassed by him!” Starme was blown away, shook his head when Farage was visible, his chin bumping into a green bench.
The Commons exploded, the Backventures screamed for approval, others were jealous. Showman Farage tried to make it stylish.
National icons on the line
JLR – Despite Indian ownership and Jaguar’s recent struggle, it is a symbol of the UK’s automotive industry, employing tens of thousands of workers above the Midlands. For many families, it’s more than just an automaker – it’s a pride.
Farage’s eyebrow-raising statement — reportedly denounced government subsidies to large corporations in a recent speech — sparked a massive backlash.
Critics accused him of desperately bidding for anti-globalist voters from the courts and turning their backs on British industry. Others say it’s the latest in a long line of fake PAs with farm flavor. Even people outside the political bubble are revving their engines in protest.
Kemi Badenoch has yet to comment on Starmer’s accusations of planning to tear down a major trade deal that is very important to JLR.
