The Trump administration’s proposed 2026 Environmental Protection Agency budget cuts the Environmental Protection Agency budget by 55%, cuts staff of 15,000 workers by at least a third, rolls back a wide range of environmental regulations, and cancels or “nails” billions of dollars with already approved grants.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin’s two-hour hearing in front of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on May 21, pointed, pointed and called Democrats over the administration’s plans.
