Dozens of protesters gathered in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday before the Italian parliament, demanding that the Israeli-Hamas war be ended.
They waving the Palestinian flag and held the banner to ask for a ceasefire.
Many protesters accused Israel of denouncement of genocide, destroying hospitals and producing humanitarian catastrophes in enclaves such as widespread hunger.
“With the ongoing crimes against humanity and real genocide, I think it’s right to scream our pain in order to stop the savages of this war,” said protester Giorgia Prosperi.
“When you starve people, when you besiege it, and you don’t provide them with health care, but instead you destroy hospitals – there are 36 hospitals in Gaza, and after everything is destroyed, only four are left.”
“They don’t even have medications or bandages so they have limited ability to support, they have nothing left, our colleagues do anesthetic-free amputations – this is a huge pain for us,” Peri added.
Despite a surge in international outrage over the spread of Israeli attacks, Israeli strikes continued to slap the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
The attack killed at least 82 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry and Regional Hospital, run by Hamas.
Israel began allowing dozens of humanitarian trucks to Gaza on Tuesday, but the UN says Israel’s security process to clear aid to distribution warehouses, which are said to be “long, complicated and dangerous,” prevents aid from quickly reaching people in need.
