Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he will continue to call special sessions in the Texas Legislature “literally” until Texas Democrats return to the state to vote for a district change.

“You can call a special session every 30 days. It lasts for 30 days. As soon as this is over, you’ll call another one, then another, then another,” Abbott said in an interview with at least 51 Democrats in an ongoing standoff with at least 51 Democrats.
