Back in 2012, Space Horror Game Routine It was approved by Steam’s (now deprecated) Greenlight program and originally set a release date in 2013. Over 10 years later, the routine Not yet I’ve seen Light of Day, but a recent update from the Lunar software confirms that this alien separate style sci-fi SpookFest is still in the works.
Following a quiet period of several years since missing out on the 2017 release window, the Space Horror Game routine made a surprise appearance at Summer Game Fest 2022. But up until now, things have become quiet again.
In a recent Steam blog post released on Tuesday, July 8th and shared by publisher Raw Fury, Lunar Software provided unexpected updates on retro horror, apologising for the complaints caused by the delay, confirming that the game is still in “active development.” In fact, the studio is “starting closer to the finish line.”
Lunar goes further. “We learned a lot from past experiences,” says the studio. “One of them is not committing to the release window. We are absolutely sure we can hit it. But we are sure we can soon share more news on that front.”
The studio also shared that Doom Eternal Composer’s Mick Gordon left the project in July 2024, but you can hear some of his work routinely when it was finally released.
In addition to this update, Lunar Software shared environmental screenshots for Union Plaza, a tourist attraction that has struggled over the month. The image is a bit exposed, but it’s the most I’ve seen in this game in three years.
However, no release dates are provided in the blog post. Hopefully, it won’t be long until we finally play the long-awaited survival horror.
