Former UFC Champion Alexander Volkanovski has identified the ideal opponent for UFC 312 and hopes the Australians return to the ring On February 9th, in Sydney, Australia.

Alexander Volkanovsky has not been seen in the octagon since suffering a shocking loss to Ilia Topria in February, but he outlined his dream enemy for the future, hoping to return at home.

His next opponent has not been confirmed yet, but Volkanovski is about to give him everything he has to fight in the UFC 312 card held at his home in Sydney, Australia.

“I’m going to do whatever it takes to make sure I’m on that card,” Volkanovski said. “We will be 100% entertaining in Sydney in February.

“Whether it’s a title, a provisional title, a lightweight title, I don’t care what it is. If for some reason you can’t get a fight, I’ll have fun with a DJ deck or something. I’ll find a way to do that.”

It’s been a year since he lost to Topria at UFC 298 by the Roll’s Round in February, but Volkanovsky’s break has been long postponed for one of the most active fighters in the championship.

Regarding who he wants to face at his next event, Volkanovski said:

The Australian also had the opportunity to face Topulia in the rematch of his final match, with Georgian Spanish fighters taking part in Holloway at UFC 308 next weekend.

Volkanovski appears to be hungry to face the winner of Holloway-Topuria’s upcoming match, and he may be awarded his wish by Dana White.
