Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle international distribution with four releases of Amazon MGM Studios as part of a multi-year deal. We continue to build our own international theatre distribution infrastructure.
The first title is from Luca Guadagnino After the huntThe psychological drama starring Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebili and Andrew Garfield is scheduled to be released on October 10th.
The 2026 title under the contract is Timur Bekkmambetov’s Chris Pratt thriller mercy (US releases on January 23, 2026) Robber film Crime 101 Starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry (February 13, 2026) Project Hale Maryadaptation of the Andy Weir novel (March 20, 2026), starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
According to the statement, Project Hale Mary, Amazon MGM plans to distribute its own theatrical title directly to certain regions with local offices (not yet confirmed). Sony supports studios in other international markets.
Universal Pictures will handle the international distribution of the upcoming James Bond films, according to previous contracts. Earlier this week, Dennis Villeneuve was confirmed as a director, but there was no script and the actor who will play Bond has not yet been announced.
