A federal court of appeals on Friday upheld a lower court ruling that banned federal agents from preventing immigrants from halting immigrants targeting illegal immigrants without a possible cause in Los Angeles.

The U.S. Ninth Circuit rejected an emergency motion filed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to maintain a temporary restraining order issued by US District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong on July 11.
