Phoenix – Arizona held a special primary on July 15th, electing new members of the US House of Representatives in seven districts of the state, replacing the late Rep. Raul Grialba (D-Ariz.), who passed away on March 13th, 2025.

Since the beginning of the 119th Congress, it is the first Congressional primary in a strongly democratic district. Grijalva’s daughter, Adelita, was running and has been at the forefront of the Democratic Party for a long time.
