How does sympathy work in Arknights Endfield? If you’re diving into Hypergryph’s RPG for the first time, you’ve probably noticed that the sympathy system is completely different than what you’re used to, especially if you came from the Hoyoverse games or Wuthering Waves.
Arknights Endfield’s sympathy system is certainly unconventional by modern gacha game standards. You acquire new characters in the same way as always, but you have to strategize in a completely new way. Below, we’ll explain everything from the pull rate to the hard and disappointing caps for each endfield banner. I’ll also give my two cents on how to use the roll so you don’t get caught.
Arknights Endfield sympathy system explained
Arknights Endfield has four banners: Limited, Standard, Beginner, and Weapon. Each banner behaves differently, with different pull rates, soft and hard sympathy thresholds, and even unique quirks such as bonus pulls and selectors.

Limited banner unfortunately
Here’s how Endfield’s exclusive banners work:
- Soft Path is activated after 65 draws, and each subsequent roll grants an additional 5% chance to hit.
- What’s so disappointing is that with 80 pulls, it always starts 50/50 and if you don’t hit it doesn’t carry over to the next banner.
- The only way to guarantee the featured 6 stars is to reach 120 pulls.
- Each banner comes with a bonus 120 pull guarantee, ensuring you get your first featured 6-star duck with 240 pulls.
- Every 10 draws guarantees a 5-star operator.
- Once per banner, once you reach the 60 pull mark, you will receive a bonus 10 pulls for the next exclusive banner.
The Endfield Limited Banner is one that utilizes the Chartered HH Permit and, as we recommend, the hard-earned Oroberyl.
The base rate of rarity for each operator is as follows:
- 6 star operator: 0.8%
- 5 star operator: 8%
- Four-star operator: 91.2%
The initial probability of poaching a top-notch operator is incredibly low, but the chances gradually increase as you go deeper into the banner. You’re also guaranteed a 5-star Operator every 10 draws, ensuring you get a steady stream of new characters and ducks to reach their full potential.
tender sympathy
Once you reach the 65th draw mark on the Limited Banner, Tender Compassion begins. From this point on, the probability of drawing a 6-star Operator increases by 5% for each subsequent draw. This stacks up until the jackpot is reached, before being reset to the base rate. It is recommended to switch to a single pull at this point to maximize efficiency and avoid overrolling to hit.
It’s a shame
If you fail to secure a 6-star Operator by the 80th pull, a 50/50 check will begin to determine whether you receive the featured character or another unit from the pool. While most gacha games only include standard banner characters as consolation prizes, Endfield works differently.
Here, the previous two exclusive banner characters remain in the pool and are continuously rotated as new banners come and go. This means that if you lose 50/50, you have a chance to catch the operator you missed before. However, as you can see below, the rates for these units are considerably lower than standard units.
- Featured 6 Star Operator: 50%
- Last two limited 6-star operators: 7.14% each (14.28% total)
- Standard 6-star operator: 35.72%
120 pull guarantee
General pull progress carries over from banner to banner, but featured character guarantees do not. The 80-pull hard pity cap always starts 50/50, so you can’t lose a flip on one banner and carry it over to the next.
Instead, Endfield only guarantees a limited 6-star operator at the 120-pull threshold. In a way, this is a good thing because in the worst case scenario you can effectively save 40 pulls on a single banner. However, that means you should only roll the Limited Banner if you really need the Operator and have 120 pulls available.
Free ten pull
After you draw 60 Limited Banners, you will be rewarded with a Headhunting Document that will give you 10 free draws on the next Limited Banner. Headhunting dossier can only be received once per banner and will expire if not used in the next banner.
This is a bit of an incentive, but given what we’ve discussed above, don’t be tempted by the promise of a freebie and push a banner you’re not interested in. Pulling an uninteresting banner 60 times in exchange for 1 draw and 10 more is clearly not worth it.
240 pull dupe guarantee
If you’re looking to increase the number of limited banner operators you’re targeting, Hyperglyph is here to your rescue. You get one second 120 pull guarantee for each banner, ensuring you get two copies of your desired operator for 240 pulls. But beyond that, it’s 50/50 all the way.

standard banner sorry
Endfield’s standard banner features a carefully selected cast of five permanent characters. It’s not as exciting as the limited time version, but it’s still more than powerful enough to reach endgame content.
Standard banners have the same base rate as Limited banners, as well as the same soft and hard sympathy thresholds. The key difference here is that there is no guarantee of 120 draws. This makes sense considering you’re drawing a non-Limited character. Additionally, if you haven’t drawn the standard banner operator you want 300 times, you get a selector that can guarantee them.
Also note that standard banners utilize the non-premium basic HH permission. Again, I recommend saving Oroberyl for featured banners. These tickets gradually accumulate in large quantities, and if you are lucky (or unlucky), even if you lose it 50/50, there is a high probability that you will eventually get the standard operator you want.

Beginner banner sorry
Endfield’s Beginner Banner is a modified version of the Standard Banner, intended to give new accounts a hot start by collecting premium characters. Unfortunately, it’s the same as Standard, but the Beginner Banner not only gives you a 20% discount on Oroberil after 10 draws, bringing the cost down to just 4,000, but also guarantees you a 6-star Standard unit after 50 draws.
Additionally, completing the banner will also earn you a 6-star weapon selector. This will ensure you have the best option within the 6-star operator slot you earn. Alternatively, you can choose to hold down the selector until you pull your desired standard operator or an exclusive 6-star that synergizes with one of these powerful kits. After all, as long as you’re solving cases for operators you enjoy playing, you can never go wrong.

Weapon banner sorry
Here’s how Endfield’s weapon banners work:
- When drawn using Arsenal Tickets, you will be rewarded when you roll character banners.
- If you draw it 40 times, you have a 25% chance of getting the featured weapon.
- If you draw it 80 times, you have a 100% chance of getting the featured weapon.
- After 100 draws, the first weapon will be provided.
- 180 draws and second 100% Featured Weapon Chance.
- After that, every 80 draws will alternate between a weapon offer and a featured weapon.
- Every 10th draw guarantees a 5-star weapon.
The Endfield Weapon Banner does not rely on premium currency at all. Instead, you can earn Arsenal Tickets by pulling the operator’s banner. A 6-star operator can win 2,000 Arsenal tickets, a 5-star operator can win 200 Arsenal tickets, and a 4-star operator can win just 20.
Technically, you can convert Oroberil into Arsenal Tickets (30 of the former and 10 of the latter), but this has no value. Pulling the Weapon Banner 10 times will return you 1,980 Arsenal Tickets at the following rates:
- 6 star weapon: 4%
- 5 star weapon: 15%
- 4 star weapon: 81%
This is by far a free-to-play system compared to other gachas, allowing you to focus entirely on drawing your character while gradually gaining top-level weapons without loosening your wallet.
Weapon’s Mercy Guarantee
After 40 draws, you are guaranteed to get a 6-star weapon. However, there is only a 25% chance that this will be a featured weapon. 80 pulls is 100% sure to catch. These disappointing milestones don’t carry over, so like the Limited Banner, don’t roll unless you have enough tickets to hit.
After 100 pulls, the system switches dramatically. Here you will be provided with a weapon offer, which is a selector that allows you to select any unloaded 6-star weapon. After 180 draws, you can win the top prize again. The banner then goes back and forth between the two indefinitely every 80 rolls. Arms Offering, Featured Weapons, Arms Offering, Featured Weapons, and more. Similar to the Operator Banner, every 10th pull guarantees a 5-star weapon.
And that’s how the Arknights Endfield sympathy system works. There’s a lot to do, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly. The most important thing to note in management games is that pity does not carry over to Limited or Weapon banners. As gacha magpies, we know how hard it is to resist the urge to roll, but if you hold tight, you’ll be fine.
