Berlin has added Anu Rangachar to its programming team as representatives of South Asia.
Langachal, appointed by festival director Tricia Tuttle, reports to co-directors of film programming Jacqueline Lyanga and Michael Statz. She works with an existing programming team.
Rangachar leads international programs at Mami Mumbai Film Festival and works with US-based distributors to promote contemporary South Asian Arathaus films.
Earlier last year, she was appointed artistic director for Los Angeles’ new measurement of Indian Film Festival and the Indian Centre Foundation.
“Anu beautifully concludes our diverse team of curators, advisors and representatives who bring years of expertise and deep networks to the film industry around the world,” Tuttle said.
Rangachar is currently part of a powerful seven-person programming delegate team, alongside Mara Fortes, Luciano Monteagudo, Beki Probst, Eduardo Valente, Norman Wang and Jacob Wong.
Programming advisors are Toby Ashraf, Ana David, Rabih El-Khoury, Jin Park, Kate Taylor, Rowan Woods, and Jennii Zylka.
Berlin in 2026 will be held from February 12th to 22nd.
