What are the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods? CD Projekt Red has released its own RedMod tool for free, allowing anyone to install the CyberPunk 2077 MOD via a dedicated client that can be downloaded from Steam or GOG.
This release changes the range of facial features, changes looks in small ways after character creation, and even displays Cyberpunk 2077 mods that access things you’ve never seen before. That’s the last one, as it adds new features to the Cyberpunk game. One day, something that sticks out and starts can evolve to give your character a superpower.
Best Cyberpunk 2077 mods
Here is the list of the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods.
Grappling hook
All great superheroes use some form of grappling hook to roam the city. Now you can add this tool to your armory with a completely normal beast grappling hook mod. Connect to windows and leverage Night City skyscrapers to access the roof and plan the route for the attack. You can also use a grapple hook in combat to pull towards the anchor point and punch the enemy square in the face. This mod also features a leveling system that rewards you to master the grapple hook and unleashes the ability to take your mobility to the next level.
Cutscene Weapon Swapper
When your character threatens someone with a weapon you never use, don’t you just hate it? DJ_kovrik’s cutscene weapon Swapper Mod allows you to truly immerse yourself in the Cyberpunk 2077 story. This mod is an in-progress work and provides support for 5 additional quests.
They remember
Tackling gangs in real life can have dire consequences, so why don’t you introduce ERIS404 to remember some of the dangers in Cyberpunk 2077? Using this mod, the gang will try to defeat you if you cross them or have courage in the territory. For example, if you attack a Tiger’s claw and leave some corpses behind, you should probably leave Japan’s towns as they will likely be targeted by gangs for what you did.
Photo mode NPC has been expanded
The photo mode in Cyberpunk 2077 is already very impressive, but there are some limitations you may encounter when trying to create the perfect scene. If you are introducing NPC varieties to your snap, check out the Enhanced Photo Mode NPCS from Xbaebsae. This also includes characters from the Phantom Liberty expansion, so you can create a story using iconic NPCs such as Solomon Reed.
Realistic map
There are certain things in this game where the developer may prioritize style over substance, and one of those areas is certainly an in-game map. The maps look cool, but knowing where you are can be really difficult, making life incredibly difficult during missions where you need to enter a particular building. Svenvh’s realistic map mod addresses this issue by replacing stylized maps with high resolution 2D rendering of real maps, ensuring you never get lost again.
Modified Backpack
Cyberpunk 2.0 brought some important changes to the game, but one area we think we paid more attention was the management system. DJ_Kovrik’s modified backpack mod introduces changes made in the overhaul, such as a custom inventory item list, various sorting options, and more. This is the type of mod you want to install in a fresh playthrough. Once you use it, you don’t want to go without it.
Pre-2.0 Skill Check
If you played Cyberpunk before the Big 2.0 update that overhauls many important gameplay mechanics, you may remember when the game’s attribute checking system was not determined by level. The Pre-2.0 Skill Checks mod by Asterra allows you to revert this change to the original ruleset.
As creators point out, it doesn’t make sense to suddenly become stronger the more you level up, the more likely you are to be destroyed with a certain degree of strength. This mod changes skill checks to ignore current levels and focuses on character builds.
Night City Recollar
Breaking Night City to life with Night City Recolor Mod by Misterchedda, changing the colour of hundreds of neon signs each time you load the game. This applies to both neon and holographic signs, so you don’t need to pass the station and see signs of the same color reappear.
Native Settings UI Add-on
Native Settings UI Add-on Mods with AnyGoodName allow you to access the in-game side menu, allowing you to instantly access your MODS settings. If you are considering alternative options to edit .ini files outside of the game, this is a much easier way to adjust individual parameters without having to ruin your desktop.
New level cap
The original level cap for the Cyberpunk 2077 was sourced with the introduction of Phantom Liberty, but it is still not high enough to unlock all of it. The new level cap mod is changed by increasing the level cap to 80. This means you don’t need to choose the skills to add to your build, so you have everything (in the end) as much as possible.
DeLorean DMC-12
It is hard to imagine a game that doesn’t benefit from having a very detailed model of the Delorean DMC-12. Sadly, this version of the DeLorean cannot fly or travel over time, but I’m sure there are plenty of alternative ways to make this car look stylish. Park this car on the road in Night City and give it a great opportunity to watch neon lights reflect from its shiny body and take stylish photos. Check out the DeLorean DMC -12 Mods with SDH0 on Nexus Mods.

Cyberpunk HD recreated the project
This overhaul of the texture of Hulk Hogan Cyberpunk 2077, which I had previously re-searched for The Witcher 3, brings everything out of pavement, graffiti, vegetation, and even paper lanterns, growing neatly. Multiple downloads of Cyberpunk HD Rework Project Mods make the most of 2K and 4K displays, depending on the gaming rig specifications. In contrast, the balanced version is optimized for low-end cards with low memory. If you want your environment to look as vivid and perfect as possible, this is the mod you need.
Chillontrr mods
Like the full-texture mod above, Xilamonstrr’s MODS aims to be completely remade by overdriveing the CyberPunk 2077 texture. There is only an option to download individual packs, but the 4K textures that Xilamonstrr rendered here are impressive, and it is intended to completely re-text the entire game and run at a decent resolution.
Cyberpunk Ed Garnnergan
Cyberpunk Edgerunner fans can swing Lucy and Rebecca’s pistols around with the help of two mods. These are alternatives to simple gun models, with Lucy’s pistols replacing Unity .45 and Rebecca’s pistols replacing Omaha. Both of these mods require material and texture overrides and TweakXL mods to work correctly.
Drone companion
Sometimes the best friends you can have are what you make. The scissors drone companion mod adds TechDeck, a functionally similar operating system, to your existing cyberdeck. Equipped with this OS, you can access various components and build multiple robot companions at once. Each drone has a rare (rare, epic, legendary) that shows the quality of the build, and you can find more good drone recipes at Cyberpunk 2077 weapons vendor.
You can limit yourself to building flying drones, but you can also build androids like humans and giant mechas to help combat. It can also be equipped with upgrades such as an invisible cloak or laser beam. Drone Companion MOD introduces a whole new mechanic, so you can help you get started to find a craft guide from GZMODS.
matrix
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world game set in the dystopian “Paradise” and stars Keanu Reeves, so it was almost inevitable that the Matrix mod would appear. Sadly, by installing the catch-dal-named Matrix Color Grading Reshade Mod, you’re not adding anything from the green shades to the game.
However, there are progress in other mods that add new skills to Arsenal. One of these is the Perfnormbeast Wall Hang Mod (with cyber engine adjustments required). As the name suggests, you can hang or jump on vertical surfaces. It’s not exactly running to the wall, but it’s better than nothing. At least we’re not too far from full-scale bullet time.
Time extension
The Time Extended Mod does a lot, overhauling the Sandevistan operating system and recalibrating the perks of each of the seven manufacturers. This includes downtime (kicking out by Matrix fans), deflecting bullets with katana, teleportation skills, and even using hourly wage skills on vehicles. However, this is a very extensive mod, so it is best to be aware of the requirements of the NexUSMOD page before downloading. You’ll need to install many other mods to make it work, but once you do it, you’re looking for a treat.
Flying car
Cyberpunk 2077 is set for the near future, but it’s baffling that there’s no flying car to drive in the city at night. However, flying car mods allow you to soar above the enemy, breaking traffic to your next target.

Take down violations
Breach Takedown Mod offers a third option when you’re a hacker when you’re working on a target. With the mod installed, in addition to knocking and killing enemies, you can also select the Brace Network option to open the Bleach Protocol screen. By doing so, you will upload all the hacks immediately, so you don’t need to play any mini-games. You can also perform violations on your unconscious body. This allows you to install Cyberpunk 2077 hacking with relative safety. This is useful when you’re in tricky places, disabling all cameras.

Crowd Alternative Behaviors
You can modulate the behavior of your NPC by installing alternative crowd behavior and other Tweaks mods. Features include changing the speed that speeds up NPCs, slightly increase in road traffic, and tinkering with AI to make enemies more intelligent.
Configuration Overhaul
Immensely, there are plenty of options completely hidden from players, but the configuration overhaul of the CyberPunk 2077 mod gives you access to some of these hidden settings. If you want to get these extra valuable frames, this mod does just that.
Better Control Menu
You can rebind most controls in the base game, but with a better control menu mod you can change the COND that CD Projekt Red doesn’t want to change. These include:
- Dodge – Disable double tap dodge by supporting the dedicated button.
- Slow Walk – Hold and use the normal movement key to walk. The default is the “https://www./” key
- 1st action – Default f
- Secondary action – Default r
- Some UI navigation buttons
This mod allows you to assign button configurations to the arrow keys, allowing you to map the controls used here if you wish.
Unlock global lighting settings
It maintains this name to “unlock global lighting settings”, but this mod does more than that. Here you can also adjust the FOV slider to a higher value, toggle resolution scaling, and set the mouse and zoom sensitivity to a larger number. It is also more compatible with Better Controls menu mods, allowing you to customize game controls and settings in tandem.

Arasaka exterior updater
Speaking of what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like, once the character is created, there is no way you can change much about the character. Arasaka’s Appearance Updater MOD allows you to make minor changes after creating a character.
Before using this mod, you may find a bright difference between what it looks like in the character creation menu and what it looks like when pausing a snapshot in CyberPunk 2077 Photo Mode. Thankfully, this mod provides an accurate preview image of what your character will look like before deploying the update to the saved file.
Check the video above. Please provide a complete tutorial to edit your character if necessary. Currently, it is limited to some facial features and hairstyles, so you cannot change your voice from male to female sounds, but the updater of Arasaka’s appearance is constantly improving, so I look forward to seeing how it develops.
Equipped with 2077 presets
Remember when everyone thought Ciri was on Cyberpunk 2077? Are you disappointed that this turned out to be completely wrong? After that, these CIRI 2077 presets can ultimately make those lofty dreams a reality. This is done by tinkering with several files that come with instructions to recreate the CIRI character model within the Cyberpunk 2077 Character Creation menu. This mod requires both V’s white hair and custom eye color mods to complete the look!
Easy menu
For some, the joy of Cyberpunk 2077 is roaming the city burning rubber on the road, burning guns and being chased by police. Of course, doing these things is a surefire way to kill yourself, but Dankrafft’s simple menu mod gives players the tools they need to go to spree without worrying about having to run out of health or supplies.
Male V’s Romantic Judy
This mod requires a cyber engine adjustment mod.
Well, this spoke to people. With this mod, you can romance Judy into Male V, revealing some previously undiscovered lines recorded in the game as part of development.
CD Projekt Red confirmed that Judy was always intended to be a female V-only partner, but not outside the area where other Cyberpunk 2077 romance options could have recorded other lines. If you want to hear lines you’re not going to listen to, this mod does just that.
Phil’s HDR Reshade
Phil’s HDR Reshade MOD fine-tunes the colors to create images with accurate depth, color and visual effects. The photo speaks for itself, taking the red tint and highlighting the black tint a little more. Note that this has nothing to do with true HDR that requires a high-end monitor. This implementation attempts to mimic the effect without purchasing new hardware.
Doom Shade
Of course, you can also give the Cyberpunk 2077 a 90s feel and pixelate what’s like living. The Doom Reshade MOD turns your screen into a thick S-VGA compatible CRT monitor with scanlines. Those who bubbly fondly with nostalgia with just a mention of the 3DFX Voodoo 2 card (Steady Now!) will get a kick from now on.
I don’t know if I’ll play this mod for more than 5 minutes. Just what you’re seeing in these screenshots is burning our retina, but at least it’s going to be a great April Fool’s Day prank!
Bleach Protocol Auto Hacker
The ultimate hacker move is to hack the hacking system so you can win all the prizes each time. This AutoHacker mod guarantees you get the best results no matter how difficult the puzzle is.
Cyber Engine Adjustment and CP77Tools
You need to be aware of the important distinction between Get-go. Some of these Cyberpunk 2077 mods require you to install another mod that will act as a base. Emphasise which mods need to tune your cyber engine or install the CP77Tools mod. There are other things that allow Cyber Engine Tweaks Mod to power off the TAA, unlock the debug menu, or skip the Start menu.
How to modify Cyberpunk 2077
There are two ways to mod CyberPunk 2077. The first involves simplifying the process using the Vortex Mod Manage application on Nexus Mod, and the second involves manually installing the mod.
Install Cyberpunk 2077 Mod via Vortex
- Please download and install Vortex Mod Manager.
- Go to Games > Managed Games and select CyberPunk 2077.
- Once set up, go to the Nexus mods page for the mod you want and select the “Vortex” download option.
- It is enabled by default when mods are downloaded to Vortex.
- Click the (launch) button in the top left corner of the app to start the game from Vortex.
Install CyberPunk 2077 Mods manually
- For the mod you are interested, go to the Nexus Mods page and select the “Manual” download option.
- Extract the files into the game’s root directory. If you don’t already have it, you can download Winrar here. For reference, the game’s root directory is located at:
- amazing:
c:\Program Files\epic games\cyberpunk 2077 - GOG:c:\Program Files (x86)\gog galaxy\games\cyberpunk 2077
- Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\CyberPunk 2077
- amazing:
- Move the file to the appropriate subdirectory/directory based on the steps given to the mod page. Some mods will be existing folders, but others may require new folders, so be careful.
- With the mod installed, start the game as normal.
MODs usually have a set of necessary dependencies that you need to download first. These can be found in the “Requirements” drop-down box in the (Description) tab of the mod.
Some modders also record these in the (File) tab. It is best to use a mod manager like Vortex to understand the tabs of what you installed and easily disable mods while troubleshooting potential conflicts. If you want to use an epic game as a side note, click on the Settings Cog next to the (Play) button and toggle “Enable Mods” to make sure you have enabled mods.
And they are our favorite Cyberpunk 2077 Mods. Given how passionate Modding Community is about Cyberpunk 2077, I’m sure the best mods are still here. Over time, the Cyberpunk 2077 mods are of the same quality as the best Witcher 3 mods, and perhaps one day even rivals the Gargantuan collection of the best Skyrim mods out there. Check out the CyberPunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Review to see what you think about the expansion.
