MINNEAPOLIS – Former Minnesota House Speaker of Democracy, Melissa Hortman, was recognized for her legislative achievements at Saturday’s funeral and her personality.
Hortman was fatally shot two weeks ago by a man pretending to be a police officer in an attack that Minnesota chief prosecutor called an assassination. Another shooting caused serious injuries to her husband Mark, the dead, and the state senator and his wife.
